Leonardo offers a proprietary eBook technology to help our clients distribute easy-to-read “digital eBooks” of their printed publications, transported to the reader over the Internet.
Most internet e-brochure solutions today are essentially just animated page websites hosted by the supplier. The publisher's artwork is animated with Flash, with the result that these e-Brochures can only be viewed inside an online web browser. The pages are not optimized for delivery, so appear slowly and viewing/print quality is often compromised in order to reduce streaming times to the reader.
Other eBook solutions use large and clunky .exe file viewers which are trapped by firewall and anti-virus software.
Equally, simple PDF copies of print brochures, which read like a word document, are unable to create a usable reader experience and are heavy to download, if saved in a reasonable print quality.
